Olga Leona (Kocan) Michalik, better known as Leona, 93, of Westland, MI, passed away at home on Wednesday, July 25, 2018. She was born on May 22, 1925, In Bitner, PA, a daughter of the late Paul and Anna Kocan.

Leona is the last surviving member of her immediate family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edward S. Michalik; her brothers, John, Mike, Joe, Tony, Nicholas, and Andrew "Leo" Kocan; and her sisters, Catherine Korba, Mary Zerilla, and Sophie Gula.

Leona was a member of SS. Simon and Jude Church, in Westland, MI.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Francis "Frank" Michalik and his wife, Priscilla, Lawrence Michalik and his wife, Becky, and Susan Michalik; her grandchildren, Laura Giacobbi and her husband, Allen, Matthew Michalik, Edward F. Michalik, Patrick Michalik, Mary A. Michalik, and Maegan Daniels and her husband, Sam; her great grandchildren, Sam, Alice, Evie, Charlie, Xander, Chase, and Liam; her sister-in-law, Sophie Kocan; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received in the Stephen R. Haky Funeral Home Inc., 603 N. Gallatin Ave., Ext., Uniontown, PA, on Tuesday, July 31, from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. and Wednesday, August 1, until 9:45 a.m. when the Panachida Service will be held.

The Liturgy of Christian Burial will follow in St. Stephen Byzantine Catholic Church, Leisenring, PA, at 10:30 a.m. with Rev. Father Ronald P. Larko as celebrant.

Interment will be held in St. Stephen Cemetery, Leisenring, PA.

The Parastas Service will be held Tuesday, at 7:00 p.m.
