Norma Jean (Miller) Moser, 86, of Masontown, Pennsylvania, passed on to be with the Lord on Saturday, November 20, 2010. She was born October 19, 1924, in Smithfield to the late Grant and Martha Hague Miller. Norma worked as a dental assistant to her husband, Dr. Jesse L. Moser, for 26 years. Earlier in life she was a member of the Mt. Moriah Baptist Church of Smithfield, and later a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Masontown. She was active in the community through the Fayette Dental Society Auxiliary, Beta Sigma Phi sorority, and as a Rotary Ann. She enjoyed gardening, reading, crafting, playing golf and entertaining. She had a great sense of humor, a hearty laugh, a positive attitude, and a tremendous zest for life. She loved people and was greatly loved in return by all who knew her. She will be sadly missed and dearly remembered. She was preceded in death by her parents, and two brothers, Thomas and Bryan. She is survived by her loving husband of 61 years, Dr. Jesse L. Moser; two daughters, Nancy (Elliott) Metro of Masontown, and Sandra (Robert) Salvi of Uniontown; two sons, Wayne (Carol) Moser of Greensburg, and Scott (Paula) Moser of Matthews, NC; six grandchildren, Ellen (James) Olstein, Emily Metro, Katharine and Stefanie Moser, Connor, Andrew, and Brycen Moser, and a sister, Patricia Miller of Fairchance. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at Haky Funeral Home, 515 North Main St., Masontown. Visitation will also take place on Tuesday starting at 8 a.m. followed by a service at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with Pastor David Crable officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Moriah Baptist Cemetery in Smithfield. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the German Masontown Library, 9 South Washington St., Masontown, or the First Presbyterian Church, 102 West Church Ave., Masontown.
