Nicola Marie "Nikki" Dominick, age 38 of Hopwood, battled courageously and passed away peacefully holding hands on Wednesday, March 15, 2017 at the Uniontown Hospital. She was born in Uniontown on April 24, 1978 to Peter Dominick who survives, and the late Mae (Snyder), and her stepfather, Guy "Butch" Barr who is also surviving. In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by an infant son, Loren Halfhill, Jr., and her brother, Peter Dominick.

Left to cherish her memory is her husband Kenneth A. Ashton, Sr., together for 15 years, their daughter, Claire Ashton Dominick; three stepchildren, Kenny, Kayla, and Alex Ashton, and four stepgrandchildren, Emily, Sadie, Waylon, and Kylie. She is also survived by numerous dear aunts, uncles, and cousins. Nikki was the most wonderful loving, caring mother. Her devotion to her family, especially her daughter Claire will always be cherished.

Friends will be received at the Stephen R. Haky Funeral Home, Inc., 603 N. Gallatin Ave., Ext., Uniontown, PA, on Friday, March17, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m.; and Saturday, March 18, from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m., the Hour of Service, with Pastor James Dice and Pastor Heather Simpson officiating.
