Mildred (Garasick) Hatalla Rodavich, 82, former resident of Masontown, passed away on Wednesday, May 30, 2012 in the Forbes Hospice, West Penn Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA. She was born on July 18, 1929 in Connellsville, PA, the daughter of the late Mildred and Thomas Garasick.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Andrew Hatalla, husband of 17 years; Nick Rodavich, husband of 36 years; and son-in-law, Tony Scarpino of Monroeville, PA.
Mildred was a member of All Saints Roman Catholic Church, where she had served as a Eucharistic Minister, member of the Confraternity of Christian Mothers, and member of the Business and Professional Womens Club.
She worked for many years at Gateway Manufacturing, and as a Real Estate Agent with Conn Realty Company.
For the past 4 years Mildred resided at St. Barnabas Retirement Village in Gibsonia, PA.
She is survived by her daughter, Marlene (Hatalla) Scarpino of Penn Township, PA; grandchildren, Naval Commander Tony Scarpino, Jr. and wife Tricia of Jacksonville Naval Base, FL; and Nicole (Scarpino) Ninemire and husband Dan of Penn Township, PA; 5 great grandchildren, Madison, Mia, and Anthony Scarpino, III.., and Nino and Noel Ninemire; a sister, Catherine Parish of Uniontown, PA; and many nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received at the Haky Funeral Home, Inc., 515 N. Main St., Masontown, PA, on Saturday, June 2, 2012 from 9:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m., when prayers of transfer will be said.
A Funeral Mass will follow at 11 a.m. at All Saints Roman Catholic Church, Masontown, PA, with Rev. Father James M. Butler as Celebrant.
Interment will be held in Our Lady of Perpetual Help, St. Mary Cemetery, Leckrone, PA.
