Mildred G. (Blanc) Hackett, 97, of Uniontown, PA, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 17, 2018. She was born May 11, 1920, in Lamberton, PA, a daughter of the late John B. and Dora C. (Resovsky) Blanc.

In addition to her parents, Mildred was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Hackett; and her brothers, Daniel Blanc and Robert Blanc.

Mildred was a member of St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church, in Uniontown. She was a graduate of the old German Township High School, and the Uniontown Hospital School of Nursing. Mildred worked as a Registered Nurse at Uniontown Hospital for many years. She and her friends would play cards several times a week, and she loved to play bridge.

Left to cherish her memory are, her son, John "Jack" Hackett and his wife Julie; her grandchildren, Sarah Hackett and her husband Matthew, Jonathan Hackett and his wife Elodie, and Daniel Hackett and his wife Laura; her two great grandchildren, Charlotte and James Hackett; her sister, Dorothy Dragan; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received in the Stephen R. Haky Funeral Home Inc., 603 N. Gallatin Ave., Ext., Uniontown, PA, today, January 19, from 4 to 6 p.m. and Saturday, January 20, until 9:00 a.m. when Prayers of Transfer will be said.
The Funeral Mass will follow in St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church, Jefferson St., Uniontown, PA, at 9:30 a.m. with Rev. Father James D. Tringhese as Celebrant.
Interment will be held in Oak Lawn Cemetery, Uniontown, PA.
