Michalina "Lena" Yankulic, 92, of Adah, Pa., passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 12, 2016 at home, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born on September 7, 1923 in Edenborn, Pa., daughter of Michael and Anna (Serdak) Skrobacz.
Lena was preceded in death by her parents, her step father Stanley Sumek, brothers Michael, Cashmere "Kie", Joe and her sisters Mary, Marie, Helen, Ann and Stella.
She was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help St. Mary Parish in Leckrone, and later St. Francis of Assisi Parish in Masontown. She worked as a cosmetologist and loved to crochet and sew. She also enjoyed bowling and softball in her younger days. "Lena" and George would have celebrated their 67th wedding anniversary on June 27, 2016.
Left to cherish her memory is her husband George Yankulic, daughter Mary Ann Vicinelly and her husband Raoul, grandchildren Michelle Johnson and her husband Christopher, Janelle Cosnotti and her husband Charles, great grandchildren Alexandria Bakos and her husband Joshua, Alaina Cubbage, Franki Lena Cosnotti and great great grandson Neil Alexander Bakos. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and great nephews.
Friends will be received at the Haky Funeral Home, Inc., 515 N. Main St., Masontown, PA, on Thursday April 14, 2016 from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m.; and on Friday April 15, 2016 until 9:30 a.m. when prayers of transfer will be said.
The Funeral Mass will follow at 10 a.m. in St. Francis of Assisi Parish, Masontown PA, with Rev. Father William G. Berkey as celebrant.
Interment will be held at Our Lady of Perpetual Help St. Mary Cemetery, Leckrone, PA.
