Michael J. "Mick" Gallis, age 63, of Smithfield, PA, passed away on Wednesday June 4, 2014 in his home, "on the farm". He was born in Uniontown, PA on September 29, 1950 the son of the late George and Margaret (Doyle) Gallis.

Mick was a Charter Member of the Fayette County Historical Society, his vast historical knowledge will be greatly missed

Left to cherish his memory are his brothers, George Gallis of Cedar City, UT, William Gallis and his wife Mary of Covina, CA, Patrick Gallis of Laguna Beach, CA, Joseph Gallis and wife Dawn of Laguna Hills, CA; sister Rosemary Olson and husband Terry of Masontown, PA. : Also left with fond lasting memories are numerous nieces, nephews, and friends across the world.

Friends will be received in the Stephen R. Haky Funeral Home, INC. 603 N. Gallatin Ave., EXT. Uniontown, PA, 15401 Monday June 9, 2014 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. and on Tuesday June 10, 2014 until 10 a.m. when a blessing service will be held with Rev. Father Peter L. Peretti officiating.
Interment will be held in Saint Mary (Nativity) Cemetery, Uniontown, PA.
