Michael A. Liptak, age 82 of Uniontown, Pa., died peacefully on Tuesday, June 26, 2018 at Marquis Gardens Place. He was born on January 6, 1936 in Brownsville, Pa., son of the late Joseph and Anna Liptak. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother John Liptak.

Michael was a faithful member of St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church. He graduated from Brownsville High School Class of 1953, and served in the United States Army. After earning a Business Degree in Accounting, he worked as a Certified Public Account for General Motors Company, Lordstown, Ohio, from which he retired.

Michael was an avid golfer, and had been a member of the Fayette Senior and Springdale Golf Leagues.

Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 57 years, Dolores A. "Dorie" Liptak; two sisters, Mary Catherine Luda of Brownsville, and Josephine Yuhas of Uniontown; and many beloved nephews, nieces, and their families.

Friends will be received at the Stephen R. Haky Funeral Home, Inc., 603 N. Gallatin Avenue Ext., Uniontown, Pa. on Friday, June 29, from 3-8 p.m.; and until 9:15 a.m. on Saturday, June 30, when Prayers of Transfer will be said.

The Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday in St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, 180 Old Walnut Hill Rd., Uniontown, Pa.

Entombment will follow at Lafayette Memorial Park Mausoleum, Brier Hill, Pa.
