Michael Kodric's Obituary
Michael Kodric, 92 of Continental #1, Pa., died on Thursday, August 24, 2017 at the Uniontown Hospital. He was born on May 22, 1925 in Adah, Pa., son of the late Anthony and Margaret H. (Lynn) Kodric.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by infant siblings, Annie, Mary, Anthony, and James; brothers, Bill and wife Helen, Tom and wife Julia, Edward, Donald and wife Delores; and sister-in-law, Cecelia
Michael is survived by his loving wife Rose (Anderson) Kodric, a brother, Daniel Kodric of East Lake, Ohio, sister-in-law Agatha Kodric of Continental #1, brother-in-law, Steve Andrasy and wife Irene, and sister-in-law, Alma Arcangelli of Ohio; and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Michael also leaves behind many dear friends.
Michael proudly served his country with the United States Navy during WWII and the Korean War. He was a member of St. Mary (Nativity) Roman Catholic Church, United Mine Workers of America, B.P.O. Elks # 370, and Life Member of Hutchinson Sportsmen's Club, Polish Club of Uniontown, George C. Marshall AMVETS Post 103, Disabled American Veterans Chapter 58, North Union Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 8543, and American Legion Post 51.
Friends will be received at the Stephen R. Haky Funeral Home, Inc., 603 N. Gallatin Ave., Ext., Uniontown, Pa., on Sunday, August 27 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m.
The Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, August 28, at 10 a.m. in St. Mary (Nativity) Roman Catholic Church, 61 N. Mt. Vernon Ave., Uniontown, Pa. with Rev. Father Peter L. Peretti as celebrant. All family members and friends should go directly to the church on Monday morning by 9:45 a.m.
Entombment will be held at Mount St. Macrina Cemetery, Uniontown, Pa. where military honors will be accorded by George C. Marshall AMVETS Post 103.
The Parish Wake Service led by the Lazarus Ministry will be held on Sunday at 3:30 p.m.
B..P. O. Elks # 370 will hold services on Sunday evening at 7 p.m.
