Obituary

Mary Margaret Suchevits, age 69, of Uniontown, PA, passed away on Tuesday, November 1, 2011, in the UPMC Mercy Hospital, Pittsburgh, PA.,

She was born on September 22, 1942, daughter of Thomas A. and Margaret A. (Baran) Suchevits.

She was preceded in death by her parents, infant brother Joseph A. Suchevits, grandparents Joseph and Mary Baran & Ignac and Mary Suchevits.

Mary Margaret was a member of Saint Mary (Nativity) Roman Catholic Church. She was a high school graduate from Mount Macrina Academy in 1960. After gradating from Waynesburg College, Mary Margaret was a school teacher in the Uniontown Area School District, retiring from Benjamin Franklin School. She was a member of The P.S.E.A. Teachers Associations, Uniontown College Club, Excelsior Club of Uniontown, The First Catholic Slovak Union, The Slovak Catholic Sokol & the Sokol Calesthenic Team.

Left to cherish her memory is a brother Thomas A. Suchevits and wife Sally of Aptos, CA., sisters Barbara Eckroth and husband David of Harrisburg, PA., Kathryn Rishel and husband Thomas of Uniontown, PA, nephews Jeffrey Suchevits and wife Nicole, Todd A. Suchevits, Thomas Glenn Rishel, nieces Deborah Eckroth, Kate (Rishel) Cavalcante and husband Tony, 3 great nieces and 1 great nephew; she is also survived by several aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.

Friends will be received in the Stephen R. Haky Funeral Home, Inc., 603 N. Gallatin Ave., Ext., Uniontown, PA, on Sunday November 6, 2011, from 5-9 p.m. and Monday November 7, 2011, until 9:30 when prayers of transfer will be said.

A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10 a.m. in Saint Mary (Nativity) Roman Catholic Church with Rev. Father Stephen R. Bugay as Celebrant.

Interment will be held in Saint Mary (Nativity) Cemetery, Uniontown, PA

Parish Wake Service will be held Sunday at 5:30 p.m.

In lieu of flowers the family suggest memorial contributions be made to Saint Mary (Nativity) Roman Catholic Church, 61 North Mount Vernon Avenue, Uniontown, Pa, or a charity of your choice in her name.
