Mary V. Salek, age 96, of Masontown, PA, passed away on Wednesday, October 27, 2010.

She was born on January 15, 1914 in Marguerite, PA., a daughter of Andrew and Anna (Kaliney) Toth.

Her parents; husband Victor A. Salek; brothers, Michael Toth, Steve Toth, Raymond Toth, and Joseph Toth; and a sister, Margaret Voytovich, preceded her in death.



She was a member of Our Lady Perpetual Help, Saint Mary Roman Catholic Church, Saint Mary Rosary Society, All Saints Christian Mothers, and the Pals Club Ladies Auxillary. She enjoyed baking, canning, bingo and trips to the casino.

Left to cherish her memory is her children Victor J Salek and his wife Veronica, Anna Salek, Rosemary Lacey and her husband Joseph, grandchildren Victor J. Salek, Michael A. Salek and his wife Christie, Mary Ann Rush and her husband Jeffrey, great grandchildren Lily, Emma, Benjamin, and her sister Ann Vargo.

Friends will be received in the Haky Funeral Home, Inc, 515 North Main St., Masontown, Pa. on Friday October 29, from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m., and Saturday October 30, 2010 until 10:30 a.m. when Prayers of Transfer will be said.

A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11 a.m. in Our Lady Perpetual Help, Saint Mary Roman Catholic Church, with Rev. Father John M. Butler as Celebrant.

Interment will be held in St. Agnes cemetery, Leckrone, PA.

A Rosary lead by All Saints Confraternity of Christian Mothers, and also Saint Mary's Rosary Society will be held today (Friday) at 3 p.m., followed by a Ritual Service at 3:30 p.m. conducted by the Pal's Club Ladies Auxiliary.
