Mary Ann (Seginack) Olenik, age 88, of Uniontown, died on Wednesday, December 20, 2017 at Country Care Manor, Fayette City, Pa.
She was born December 27, 1928. She was the last member of her immediate family; preceded in death by her husband, Joseph E. Olenik, Sr., siblings, Ed Seginack, Dorothy Shinsky, Michael Seginack, Robert Seginack, William Seginack, and Irene Lipchinsky; and her son-in-law Andre Paul Southworth.
Mary Ann was born and raised in Smock, Pa. Mary Ann's husband Joe was an officer in the Foreign Service and served in the U. S. Embassies for 28 years in Dahran, Saudi Arabia; London, England; Dacca, E. Pakistan (Bangladesh); Tangier, Morocco; Washington, D.C.; Johannesburg, South Africa; Hong Kong; and Seoul, Korea. Mary Ann and Joe raised their five children overseas. Following Joe's death, Mary Ann lived in Virginia, where she was an Administrative Assistant with Contel Communications, (Verizon); retiring after 11 years as the secretary to the Vice President of Marketing.
She resided at Country Care Manor until recently, and was a member of St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, Uniontown, PA.
Surviving are her children, Anne Peters of Brownsville, PA, Joseph Olenik, Jr. and girlfriend Robin Baranowski of Germantown, Wisconsin, Judi Southworth of Ogden, Utah, Suzi Gresham and husband Steve of Richmond, VA, and Kathy Henry and husband Bill of Greenfield, OH; 17 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; and many loving nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received in the Stephen R. Haky Funeral Home, Inc., 603 N. Gallatin Ave., Ext., Uniontown, Pa., on Tuesday, December 26, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.; and on Wednesday, December 27, her birthday, until 9:15 a.m. when prayers of transfer will be said.
The Funeral Mass will follow at 10 a.m. on Wednesday at St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, Old Walnut Hill Road, Uniontown, PA.
Interment will be private at Our Lady of Perpetual Help St. Mary's Cemetery, Leckrone, PA.
