Obituary

Mary Kathrine Leshinsky, age 88, of Masontown, PA, passed away on Wednesday, March 25, 2015 at Mount Macrina Manor, Uniontown. She was born on September 12, 1926 in Greene County, daughter of the late Dana H. and Lucy (Rhodes) Cox.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Robert Leshinsky, brothers, James Cox, Kermit Cox, Ronald Cox, and a sister, Rita Campbell.

Mary Kathrine was a graduate of Mapletown High School. She was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Parish (All Saints R.C. Church), Masontown, member of All Saints Confraternity of Christian Mothers, and Masontown Quilters. She was devoted to her family and friends, and her Parish, participating in many fundraisers such as Perohi sales, and festivals. She loved to bake, and volunteered her time at All Saints School Cafeteria for 30 years. For 18 years, she served her community as a volunteer at Helping Hands of Masontown, and was a member of the German-Masontown Friends of the Library.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Robert E. Leshinsky and wife Toni of Lyndhurst, OH, Mary Frances Kovach and husband Joseph of Madison, AL, David Leshinsky and friend Michelle Moraites of Centerville, OH, and Barry Leshinsky and wife Susan of Huntsville, AL; five grandchildren, Jason Leshinsky, Sara Leshinsky, Matt Kovach, Heather Ison and husband Tommy, and Amanda Copeland; three great-grandchildren, Jay Lynn Leshinsky, Harmony Copeland, and Caspian Copeland; two sisters, Joan Stickles of Aliquippa, PA, Susie Alderson and husband William of Bradley, IL, Robert Cox and wife Dory of Monaca, PA, and Charles Cox and wife Shirley of Beaver Falls, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received at the Haky Funeral Home, Inc., 515 N. Main St., Masontown, PA today, March 27, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m; and on Saturday, March 28 until 10:30 a.m. when prayers of Transfer will be held.

The Funeral Mass will follow at 11 a.m. on Saturday at St. Francis of Assisi Parish, 101 S. Washington St., Masontown, PA, with Rev. Father William G. Berkey as Celebrant.

Interment will be held at St. Agnes Cemetery, Masontown, PA.
