Mary Ellen Good, age 80, of Uniontown, passed away quietly January 2, 2013 at Cherry Tree Nursing Center following a brief illness.

She was born in Indian Head, PA on January 7, 1932, the daughter of the late Frank M. and Maude Sleasman Showman.

In addition to her parents she was predeceased by a husband, Ralph Cavanaugh, and a second husband, William S. Good, and several brothers and sisters.

She was employed as a cook manager in the Uniontown Area School District for many years until her retirement and was a member of Calvary United Methodist Church in Uniontown.

She is survived by a son, William, of Lewisburg, PA, a son Robert and wife Christa of Athens, Georgia, a daughter Deborah Truxal and husband David of Pittsburgh, a son Ralph Cavanaugh and wife Sandra of East Millsboro, PA, and a sister Marlene Berger and husband Darrel of White, PA, several grandchildren, a great grandchild, nieces, nephews and many dear and devoted friends.

Friends will be received in the Stephen R. Haky Funeral Home, Inc., 603 North Gallatin Ave. Ext. on Sunday, January 6, 2013 from 5:00pm until 9:00pm, and again on Monday, January 7, 2013 until 10:30am, the Hour of Service, with Rev. Keith Lohr officiating. The service will be held in the funeral home chapel.

Interment will be Private.
