Mary Ann (Balaban) Fell, 65 of Masontown, Pa., passed away unexpectedly on Saturday November 12, 2011 in the UPMC Presbyterian Hospital, Pittsburgh, Pa., with her loving family at her side.

She was born on August 12, 1946 in Uniontown, Pa, daughter of Stephen T. and Frances M. (Swartz) Balaban.

She was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help, St. Mary, Roman Catholic Church in Leckrone, the St. Mary Rosary Society, St. Mary Pastoral Council, PALS Ladies Auxiliary and The Friends of German & Masontown Library. Her greatest joy was watching her granddaughter grow up and planting her flowers in the spring.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Uncle Thomas Swartz, Uncle William Swartz and an Aunt Dorothy Markowski.

Left to cherish her memory is her husband Michael "Larry" Fell, children Michael S. Fell and wife Michelle, Brian J. Fell, granddaughter Amber N. Starr, sister in-law Joanne Ham and husband Jack.

Friends will be received in the Haky Funeral Home, Inc. 515 North Main Street Masontown, Pa., Monday November 14, 2011 from 2-8 PM and Tuesday November 15, 2011 until 10:30 AM when prayers of transfer will be said.

A Mass of Christian Burial will follow in Our Lady of Perpetual Help, St. Mary, Roman Catholic Church at 11 AM with Rev. Father John M. Butler as Celebrant. & Rev. Father Andrew M. Kawecki, as Concelebrant.

Interment will be held in St. Agnes Cemetery, Leckrone, PA.



A Parish Wake service will be held Monday at 3:30 PM. followed by the Rosary.
