Mary Jane Demeter, 90 of Uniontown, Pa., died on Saturday, September 25, at WVU Medicine Uniontown Hospital. She was born in Uniontown on October 11, 1930, daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Lalakulich) Demeter. She was also preceded in death by brothers, Joseph "Sonny" Demeter and Charles "Chuck" Demeter.

She is survived by her devoted sister Barbara Demeter, with whom she made her home; her brother, Edward Demeter; her sister, Ellen Kustron and husband Stanley, all of Summerfield, FL; and many nieces and nephews and their families.

Mary Jane was a member of St. John the Baptist Byzantine Catholic. She retired after working at Rockwell International for 16 years. She was a great cook, and loving sister and aunt.

Friends will be received in the Stephen R. Haky Funeral Home. Inc., 603 N. Gallatin Ave., Ext., Uniontown on Thursday, September 30 from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m., and Friday , October 1 until 11 a.m. when the Panachida Service will be held.

The Funeral Liturgy will follow Friday at 11:30 a.m. in St. John the Baptist Byzantine Catholic Church, with the Very Reverend Father Ronald P. Larko as celebrant.

Interment will be held at St. John Byzantine Cemetery, Hopwood, Pa.

The Parastas Service will be held at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday in the funeral home.
