Marvin Dale "Mug" Silbaugh, age 68, of Uniontown, PA, died on Tuesday, January 17, 2012 at home.

He was born on October 5, 1943 in Uniontown, PA, son of the late Paul Newton Silbaugh and Orphia Gilna (Gatterman) Silbaugh. He was also preceded in death by brothers, Paul, James, Ronald, and Charles Silbaugh, and sisters, Evangeline Trizna, and Nina "Jean" Casteel.

Marvin was a retired Machine Operator. He had been employed with Inland Container of Erie, PA for many years. He was an avid Steeler Fan, and collector of Baseball Cards.

Left to cherish his memory is his beloved companion of 19 years, Anna Jane Zerecheck; his children, Tammy Hunter of Morgantown, WV, and Marvin Dale "Chief" Silbaugh, Jr. of Friendsville, MD; step-children, JoAnn Duritsky and husband Ronald of Uniontown, PA, Rita Zerecheck of West Virginia, Sarah Walters and husband Chuck of Mount Pleasant, PA, Janet Riggin and husband Don of Marianna, PA, Andrew Zerecheck and wife Bobbie of Mount Pleasant, and Tommy Zerecheck of Virginia; 11 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; 4 brothers and sisters, Patricia Lou Shultz of Dayton, OH, Faye Elaine Casteel and husband Dale of Erie, PA, John David Silbaugh and wife Faye of Corry, PA, and Anna Marie Schuldt and husband Barry of Orange Park, FL; and numerous nieces and nephews and their families.



Friends will be received at the Stephen R. Haky Funeral Home, Inc., 603 N. Gallatin Ave., Ext., Uniontown, PA, this evening (Thursday) January 19, from 7-9 p.m., Friday, January 20, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.; and on Saturday, January 21, 2012 from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m., the Hour of Service, with Bishop Robert L. Swope, Sr. Officiating.

Entombment will follow in Sylvan Heights Cemetery Mausoleum, Uniontown, PA.
