Martin G. Barrish, 88, of Uniontown, PA formerly of Masontown, died on Friday, October 3, 2014 at the Uniontown Hospital. He was born on February 23, 1926 in Masontown, PA, son of the late Gabriel and Josephine (Shine) Barrish.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Marcia (Sesler) Barrish on July 20, 1999; eight brothers and sisters, Anna Malinsky, Mary Bogucki, Josephine Peary, Kathryn Barrish, Louis Barrish, Frank Barrish, Rose Fedorcheck, and Michael Barrish; and brothers and sisters-in-law, Altha Sesler, Phil Sesler, Lucille Barney, and Marlin Sesler.

Martin retired from National Ford where he was the Automotive Service and Parts Manager. He also worked with Phil Detweiler Auto Dealership of Masontown for many years. He served his country during WWII in the US Army, and was a member of Fort Mason American Legion Post 423 and Faith-Gray-McArdle VFW 4584.

He is survived by two sisters, Margaret Russo of Masontown, PA, and Helen Valentich of Florida; numerous nieces and nephews, and sisters-in-law, Carrie Keener and husband William of Ohio, Bernice Sesler of Smithfield, PA, and Minnie Conrad of Fairmont, WV.

Friends will be received at the Haky Funeral Home, Inc., 515 N. Main St., Masontown, PA. on Monday, October 6, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., and on Tuesday, October 7, until 10:15 a.m. when closing prayers will be said.

The Funeral Service will follow at 11:00 a.m. in Walnut Hill United Methodist Church, Wynn Rd., Uniontown, PA, with Rev. Arnold G. Husk Officiating.

Interment will be held at Walnut Hill Cemetery where military honors will be accorded at graveside by Faith-Gray-McArdle VFW 4584, and American Legion Post 43.
