Marion J. "Marty" Cleypool, age 78 of Uniontown, PA and Grand Rapids, Michigan, passed away on June 21 2016 of fighting Cancer for over 7 years. He was the son of the late Jacob and Rena (Van Kekerix) Cleypool.

He graduated from Lee High School in Michigan, served in the U.S. Navy in Norfolk, VA, and was a lifetime member of the Amvets Post 103, Hopwood, PA, and the American Legion Post 51, Uniontown, PA.

Surviving is his loving companion of 39 years, Mary Ann Shetler of Uniontown; five children, Jill Slaght and husband Bill, Marty Cleypool Jr., Dan Cleypool and wife Robin, Ken Cleypool and wife Laura, and Karen Sue Wosje, all of Michigan; three sisters, Maria, Claudia, and Beverly, all of Michigan; eleven grandchildren; and one great grandson. Also daughters, Theresa "Tina" Allen and husband Bill, Darlene Koposko and husband Andrew, all of Uniontown, PA; grandchildren, Teresa, Tania, Jennifer, and Andrew of Uniontown; and great grandchildren, Riley, Cole, Madison, Andrew, Preston, Austin, Johnny, Hunter, Aeydan, Gianella, and Alleck of Uniontown, PA.

He will be sadly missed by Mary Ann and her family. He was a kind and loving person to all. He loved dancing, going to Casinos, traveling, and going to Arizona. The family extends thanks to Jessica from the VA and Amanda from Amedisys.

Friends will be received at the Stephen R. Haky Funeral Home, Inc., 603 N. Gallatin Ave., Ext., Uniontown, PA on Friday, June 24, from 3 p.m. until 7 p.m., at which time his life will be celebrated with Rev. Father James W. Clark officiating. Amvets Post 103 will conduct military honors.

In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, his wishes were that memorial contributions be made to local veteran's organizations.
