Marian C. "Nickie" (Nickman) Pitman, 80, of Lemont Furnace, PA, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, November 29, 2012, at Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh, PA.

She was born on April 21, 1932 in Connellsville, PA, daughter of Wesley and Clara (Yezbak) Nickman. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Robert E. Pitman on April 24, 2012; and a sister and brother-in-law, Bernice and Donald Howard, Sr.

Marian was a member of St. George Maronite Catholic Church. She graduated from Connellsville High School Class of 1950, and was a member of Connellsville High School "50 's Club".

Marian worked at the Nickman family businesses all of her life. She loved working with her brothers so much, she had completed a full day's work on the day she fell ill.

Left to cherish her memory are her son and daughter-in-law, David R. and Sandra L. Pitman of Davidsonville, MD; her grandsons, Wesley R. Pitman of Annapolis, MD, and Brian C. Pitman of Milwaukee, WI; her brothers, Elias "Eddie" Nickman, Sr. and wife Ruth, and James W. Nickman, Sr. and wife Karen, all of Uniontown, PA. She also was a devoted aunt and great-aunt to many nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received in the Stephen R. Haky Funeral Home, Inc., 603 N. Gallatin Ave., Ext., Uniontown, PA, on Monday, December 3, from 3 p.m. until 6:30 p.m.; and Tuesday, December 4, until 9:30 a.m.



The Divine Liturgy will follow on Tuesday at 10 a.m. in St. George Maronite Catholic Church, Six Lebanon Ave., Uniontown, PA, with Rev. Father Nadim Helou, MLM as Celebrant.

Interment will be held at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Bridgeville, PA.

The Parish Rosary will be held Monday at 3:30 p.m., followed by the Service of Ghinnaz at 4 p.m.
