Margaret V. (Velegdon) Stanish Mermon, of Uniontown, formerly of Eldersville, PA passed on Thursday February 15, 2024 at the home of her Daughter Judy where she had lived for the past 7 years with her family at her side. She was born in Washington PA, daughter of the late John and Elizabeth (Smoliga) Velegdon. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands', Emil A. Stanish and Max C. Mermon, her sons John G. and Emil Stanish and the last of her 7 siblings. She is survived by her daughters Judy (Alan) Forman of Uniontown and Kristine Kinder of Coventry, RI.; a daughter-in-law Connie D. Stanish; her grandchildren Kiley (Wayne) Shafer, Karissa Stanish, Abigail Kinder, Sarah Kinder and Jonathan Forman; her great grandchildren Briley, Brinley and Bristol Shafer. Margaret enjoyed reading and dedicated her life to her children. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Amedisys Hospice for the care given her. Services are private.
