Margaret Ruth (Holp) Sintich, age 87 of Uniontown went to be with her Lord on Wednesday, November 4, 2015. She was born on March 15, 1928 in Lemont Furnace, PA, daughter of Paul and Anna (Burick) Kolp (Holp).
She was the last surviving member of her immediate family, preceded in death by her parents; husband of 57 years Joseph B. "Clint" Sintich, Jr.; their infant son, Joseph B. Sintich, III.; brothers, George, Joseph, and Paul Kolp; and sisters, Helen Tonio, Agnes Trimbeth, and Mary Giglio.
Margaret was a member of St. Mary (Nativity) Roman Catholic Church. She graduated from North Union High School, and was a member of the First Catholic Slovak Ladies Union. Her spiritual faith and love for her family were held deeply within her heart.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, John David Sintich and wife Gail of Aiken, SC; Carol A. Linnen and husband Kenneth of Grindstone, PA; Nancy J. Meucci and husband Frederick of Uniontown, PA; and Joanne Gonzalez and husband James of Oil City, PA; 12 grandchildren: Jake Sintich, Katie Dukes and husband Matt, John Sintich, III. and wife Melissa, Liz Sintich, Jen Moats and husband Chris, Andrea Jenkins and husband Tim, Colleen Linnen, Melanie Brashear and husband Tim, Fred Meucci, Nick Meucci and wife Bonnie, Meghan Frost and husband Ian, and Nathan Wallace; eight great grandchildren, Kayla, Chris, Casey, and Cameron "Bamma" Moats; Lily Sintich, Olivia Jenkins, Gavin Brashear, and Jack Sintich; and many nieces and nephews and their families. Special thanks to the staff and caregivers of Annalisa's Personal Care Home, Perryopolis, PA.
Friends will be received at the Stephen R. Haky Funeral Home, Inc., 603 N. Gallatin Ave., Ext., Uniontown, PA today (Friday), November 6, from 2 p.m. - 8 p.m.; and on Saturday, November 7, until 9:30 a.m. when Prayers of Transfer will be said.
The Funeral Mass will follow on Saturday at 10 a.m. in St. Mary Nativity Roman Catholic Church, 61 N. Mt. Vernon Ave., Uniontown, PA, with Rev. Father Peter L. Peretti as celebrant.
Interment will be held at St. Mary (Nativity) Cemetery, Uniontown, PA.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary (Nativity) R. C. Church.
The Parish Wake Service will be held on Friday at 3 p.m. in the funeral home chapel.
