Margaret Louise (Reese) Rich, age 79, of Smock, PA, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 12, 2012 at the Uniontown Hospital, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born on August 3, 1932 in Pittsburgh, PA, daughter of the late Rev. Thomas Reese and Sarah Katherine (Beener) Reese.

Margaret was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 42 years, Elmer W. Rich, Sr.; a daughter, Margaret Diane Helfen; three grandchildren; and numerous brothers and sisters.

Throughout her life Margaret was a homemaker for her family, whom she loved dearly.



Left to cherish her memory are her children, Elmer William Rich, Jr. and wife Sharon of Perryopolis, PA., Michael Allen Rich and wife Judith of Vanderbilt, PA., Sandra Louise Glover and husband Gary of Uniontown, PA., Katherine Ann Rich of Smock, PA, with whom she made her home; her son-in-law, Robert H. Helfen of Smock, PA.; eight grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; her sister, Caroline Killimier of Pittsburgh, PA., and her brother, Paul Reese of Richmond, VA.

Friends will be received at the Stephen R. Haky Funeral Home, Inc., 603 N. Gallatin Ave., Ext., Uniontown, PA, on Saturday, April 14, from 2-9 PM., and Sunday, April 15, from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m., the Hour of Service, with Pastor Charles R. Shaffer Officiating.

Interment will follow at Greendale Cemetery, Masontown, PA.
