Margaret (Midlick) Bayus, age 100 of Oliver # 1, PA, died on Wednesday, October 30, 2013 at Hillside Manor Personal Care Home. She was born on April 6, 1913 in Leisenring #2, daughter of Mike and Anna M. (Swarow) Midlick.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, John F. Bayus in 1993; sisters, Catherine Olschesky, Mary Krainok; brothers, Steve Jorbuck, John Midlick, and Mike Midlick; and nieces, Mamie Marra and Helen Landman.
Margaret was a member of St. John the Baptist Byzantine Catholic Church. She resided in the state of California for many years before returning to the Uniontown area. Margaret was a talented seamstress, and was very fond of wearing turbans which she handmade.
She leaves behind a niece, Anna Marie Bellus, and many great-nieces and great-nephews and their families. She also will be deeply missed by her caregivers, Dorothy and Tom Shaffer, and Evelyn and Paul Hensh, all of Uniontown.
Her family and friends especially thank the nurses and aides at Hillside Manor who were wonderful to Margaret while she was in their care.
Friends will be received at the Stephen R. Haky Funeral Home, Inc., 603 N. Gallatin Ave. Ext., Uniontown, PA on Friday, November 1, from 2-8 p.m.; and on Saturday, November 2, until 9:30 a.m. when a Panachida Service will be held.
The Divine Liturgy will follow at 10 a.m. in St. John the Baptist Byzantine Catholic Church, with Rev. Father Ronald P. Larko as Celebrant.
Interment will be held at St. John Byzantine Cemetery, Hopwood, PA.
The Parastas will be held on Friday evening at 7 p.m.
