Margaret L. (Vrabel) Hower, age 97 of Uniontown, PA, died on Monday, August 27, 2012 at home. She was born on May 22, 1915 in Wynn, PA, daughter of Paul and Anna (Rerko) Vrabel.

She was the last surviving member of her immediate family, preceded in death by her parents, husband Joseph Leroy Hower, sisters, Anne Hovanec, Helen Helt, Paul "Jesse" Vrobel, Steve Vrobel, and infant brother John.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, son, Joseph M. Hower and wife Sharon of Mechanicsburg, PA; daughter Marlene J. Orndoff and husband Jim, with whom she made her home; many nieces, nephews, and their families, dear friend and caregiver, Eugenie Skala; and special pet, "Fluffy" her beloved Shih Tzu.

Friends will be received at the Stephen R. Haky Funeral Home, Inc., 603 N. Gallatin Ave., Ext., Uniontown, PA, on Wednesday, August 29 from 2-8 p.m; and Thursday, August 30 until 8:30 a.m. when prayers of transfer will be said.

The Funeral Mass will follow at 9 a.m. at St. Therese de Lisieux Roman Catholic Church, 61 Mill St., Uniontown, PA, with Monsignor Michael W. Matusak as Celebrant.

Interment will be held at Mount St. Macrina Cemetery, Uniontown, PA.

The Parish Wake Service will be held on Wednesday at 3 p.m.
