Obituary

Margaret Dursa, 92, of Uniontown, died peacefully on Monday, December 24, 2018 at Beechwood Court, Uniontown, Pa.

She was born on August 20, 1926 in Allison, Pa., daughter of Sophia and Stephen Mascella.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Frank, son David, and brothers, Steve and Andrew Mascella of Ohio.

Margaret was a member of St. John the Baptist Byzantine Catholic Church of Uniontown, and attended Redstone High School in Republic. She was a former member of the Democratic Women's Club of Fayette County, and had been a Central Committeewoman for North Union Township.

Margaret was a loving mother and grandmother and enjoyed spending time with all of her grandchildren. She will be remembered for her singing and her bright smile for all the residents of Beechwood Court.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Frank (Maxine) Dursa of New Albany, OH, Barbara (Frank) Janosick of Spokane, WA, Janet (Joseph) Simko of Connellsville, Pa., Carol (Jay) Honse of Belleville, IL, and Joyce Dursa of Carmichaels, Pa.,; grandchildren: Susan (Chris) Edwards of Delray Beach, FL, Holly (Greg) Opincar of New Albany, OH, Frank (Janine) Janosick of Spokane WA, Jason (Kristen) Janosick of Phoenix, AR, Adam Honse of Gardner, KS, and Claire and Nathan Dursa of Carmichaels, Pa.; great grandchildren, Olivia, Caroline and Owen Edwards, Emma and Katie Opincar, Elliott and Amelia Janosick, and Jonah Janosick; dear sisters, Helen Bobak of Uniontown, Pa., and Dolores Hollister of Florida; and dear brother, John Mascella of Ohio.

Friends will be received at the Stephen R. Haky Funeral Home, Inc., 603 N. Gallatin Ave. Ext.,Uniontown, Pa. on Thursday, December 27, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. and on Friday, December 28, until 10 a.m. when Panachida prayers will be said.

The Divine Liturgy will follow at 10:30 a.m. in St. John the Baptist Byzantine Church, 185 East Main St., Uniontown, Pa., with Rev. Father Ronald P. Larko as celebrant.

Interment will be held at Mount St. Macrina Cemetery, Uniontown, Pa.

The Parastas service will be held at the funeral home on Thursday evening at 7 p.m.
