Louis R. "Cudgel" Scott, 83, of Lemont Furnace, PA, passed away at home, on Wednesday, August 29, 2018. He was born at home in Lemont Furnace, on November 25, 1934, a son of the late George and Jenny (Darby) Scott.
He was a member of St. May (Nativity) Roman Catholic Church, in Uniontown. Cudgel proudly served his country in the United States Army, as a Medic, and worked in the Coal Mines for many years. Cudgel was a member of the Uniontown Senior Softball League and played until he was 73 years old.
In addition to his parents, Cudgel was preceded in death by his daughter and caretaker, Lou Ann Scott, on May 17, 2018; his brothers and sisters, Gene, Dave, John, Paul, Said, Cora, and Mildred.
Left to cherish his memory, are his loving wife of 62 years, Martha R. Scott; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received in the Stephen R. Haky Funeral Home Inc., 603 N. Gallatin Ave., Ext., Uniontown, PA, on Sunday, September 2, from 5 to 7 p.m. and Monday, September 3, from 2 to 4 and 5 to 7 p.m. and Tuesday, September 4, until 11 a.m when a Blessing Service will be held.
Interment will follow in Sylvan Heights Cemetery, Uniontown.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Kathy, Niki, Shelly, and Karen for all of their excellent care.
