Obituary

Louis Franklin Harford, 85, of Uniontown, died on Thursday, August 16, 2018 at Havencrest Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Monongahela, PA. He was born on July 11, 1933 in Uniontown, son of the late Lafferty and Rose (Pascutte) Harford. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Clayton Harford, and close friend Frances Trifiro.

Lou proudly served his country during the Korean War with the United States Army. He had been a member of St. Therese de Lisieux Roman Catholic Church; also a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and American Legion Post 51 and Honor Guard. He worked as a clerk at a drug store for many years, and bartended at the American Legion.

Surviving are his sons, Franklin J. Harford and wife Lori of Uniontown, Pa., and Scottie Harford of Donora, Pa.; sisters, Jennett Libertoni, Marie Bryson, and Lula Mickey; a nephew, and many nieces.

Friends will be received at the Stephen R. Haky Funeral Home, Inc., 603 N. Gallatin Ave.  Ext., Uniontown, Pa., on Sunday, August 19, from 6-8 p.m.; Monday, August 20, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m.; and Tuesday, August 21, until 10 a.m. when a Blessing Service will be held in the funeral home chapel. Military honors will be accorded by the North Union VFW Post 8543.

Interment will be private at Mount Macrina Cemetery.
