Obituary

Loretta M. (Kremposky) Hunchuck, 79, of Uniontown, Pa., died peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, December 3, 2016 at Uniontown Hospital. She was born on March 30, 1937 in Thompson #1, Pa., daughter of Michael and Mary (Rodesky) Kremposky.

She was the last member of her immediate family, preceded in death by her parents, husband Donald Matthew Hunchuck (1994), and siblings, Mary Fedor, Joseph Kremposky, Catherine Popovich, Michael Kremposky, Elizabeth Flak, John Kremposky, Sophia Tomecek, Anna Tomecek, and Veronica Gill.

Surviving are her loving daughters, Dawn Francine Piccolomini and her husband Anthony, and Dana Hunchuck-Griffith, all of Uniontown; numerous beloved nieces and nephews, her special buddy, Elmer "Emo" Croftcheck, and beloved pets, Brownie and Macy.

The family would like to thank the dedicated staff of Uniontown Hospital Oncology, the 4th Floor Nursing Staff, Dr. Tiffany Pluto and staff; Sister Helen, Sister Barbara Jean and the Sisters of St. Basil the Great at Mt. Macrina for their prayers and assistance; and also friends and neighbors on Orchard Lane, and Thompson # 1.

Loretta was a member of St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, Uniontown; and former member of Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church of Republic, where she belonged to the Confraternity of Christian Mothers, Altar Society, served as Eucharistic Minister, and assisted with the administration and housekeeping needs of the Parish for 15 years.

Loretta graduated from Redstone High School Class of 1955 and was an active member of the Class Reunion Committee. She was a Bookeeper for Uniontown News in Uniontown for many years. An avid sports fan of both college and professional teams, Loretta loved watching games, especially the Steelers, Pirates, and Pittsburgh Penguins. She was a member of Amvets Post 103 Ladies Auxiliary, and enjoyed dancing to Polkas. She was a talented bowler, member of the Holiday Bowling League, member of the Central Christian Church Dart League, and Sons of Italy Bocci League. Her baking was unforgettable. She will be deeply missed by her family and many friends.
Friends will be received at the Stephen R. Haky Funeral Home, Inc., 603 N. Gallatin Ave., Ext., Uniontown, Pa., on Monday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m.; and Tuesday until 9:15 a.m. when Prayers of Transfer will be said.

The Funeral Mass will follow at 10 a.m. on Tuesday in St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, 180 Walnut Hill Rd., Uniontown Pa.

Interment will be held at Holy Rosary Cemetery, Republic, Pa.
