Obituary

Lillian Lucille "Bubby" (Zavada) Stanish, 92, of Lemont Furnace, PA, died on Thursday, April 25, 2013 at Mount Macrina Manor Nursing Home.

She was born on September 21, 1920 in Uniontown, PA, daughter of Michael and Anna Zavada.

Lillian was the last member of her immediate family, preceded in death by her parents, husband, Edward J. Stanish, Sr., grandson, Ryan Stanish, siblings, Wilma Zavada, Andrew Zavada, Agnes DeArmett, Helen Kruckvich, Michael Zavada, Steve Zavada , Marie Zavada, Joseph Zavada, and several nieces and nephews.

She was a member of St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, Uniontown, and also attended St. Aloysius Roman Catholic Church, Dunbar. Lillian, lovingly known as "Bubby" was a wonderful mother, homemaker, cook and baker. She was very family oriented and lived for the holidays when everyone in the family could get together. A few of her favorite hobbies were gardening, mowing grass, canning, and watching "Wheel of Fortune". She enjoyed raising chickens and was a member of the Uniontown Poultry Association.

Lillian is survived by her loving children; Edward Stanish, Jr. and wife Deborah of Uniontown, Toni Porada and husband Michael of Perryopolis, Wilma Luick and husband Charles of Uniontown, and Steve Stanish and wife Karen of Lemont Furnace; cherished grandchildren, Rebecca Baumiller and husband Dan, Renee Porada-Frazier and husband Michael, Lee Stanish, David Stanish , Nick Stanish and wife Corinne, Brad Luick and fianc Synthia Rozzo; beloved great grandchildren; Aubrey Baumiller, Mackenzie Baumiller, Lily Stanish; and many nieces and nephews.

Honoring Lillian's wishes, there will be no public visitation, however, all friends are invited to share the celebration of her Funeral Mass with her family.

The Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, April 29 at 10 a.m. in St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, 180 Old Walnut Hill Road, Uniontown, PA, with Rev. Father Ronald L. Simboli as Celebrant.

Interment will follow in St Joseph Cemetery, Hopwood, PA.
