Lawrence V. Doolittle Jr. age 75, of Uniontown, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday April 13, 2016 after a valiant battle with cancer.
He was born on August 23, 1940 in Allison, Pa. son of Lawrence V. Sr., and Cecelia (Vetter) Doolittle Harmon.
Larry graduated from Brownsville Area High School class of 1958 and attended California University of Pennsylvania. He proudly served his country in the United States Army, during the Vietnam War. Larry was and avid golfer, and was employed by the Pennsylvania Turnpike for 33 years.
He was preceded in death by his father Lawrence V. Doolittle Sr., and his grandparents Mary Ellen and George Doolittle and John and Veronica Vetter.
Left to cherish his memory is his mother Cecelia Harman, his sister Patricia Milroth, nephews Mark Milroth, Matthew Milroth, Kristen Milroth, Alison Duffield, two great nephews Scott and Grant and a great niece Christina.
Friends will be received in the Stephen R. Haky Funeral Home, Inc. 603 North Gallatin Ave. Ext., Uniontown, Pa. Friday April 15, 2016 from 2-8 p.m.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday April 16, 2016 in St. Mary (Nativity) Roman Catholic Church at 10 a.m. with Rev. Fr. Peter Peretti as Celebrant. All family and friends should arrive at the church by 9:45 a.m.
A Parish Wake Service will be held Friday at 3 PM.
Interment will follow in Mt. Macrina Cemetery, Uniontown, PA
