Laurie Lorraine Hunyady, age 21, of New Salem, PA, formerly of Masontown, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, July 26, 2011 at her home.

She was born on April 6, 1990 in Uniontown, PA, beloved daughter of Timothy A. Hunyady, Sr. of McClellandtown, and Tammy S. (Farrier) Hunyady of New Salem.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by her brother, Timothy A. Hunyady, Jr. and his fiance Roberta Emery, both of Masontown, PA; her maternal grandmother, Ellen Farrier of Masontown, PA; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins, many, many friends, especially "The Four Amigos". She also leaves behind her beloved cats, Shadow and Jewel.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Lou and Goldie Hunyady; and maternal grandfather, James L. Farrier.

Laurie was a graduate of Albert Gallatin High School and the Fayette Vocational Technical School Class of 2009. She was a licensed cosmetologist and hairdresser, employed with "The Shop" for the past two years.

She was artistic, fun loving, and loved animals. Most of all she enjoyed time spent with her family, especially shopping with her mom, riding with her brother on his motorcycle, and fishing with her dad. She was "The Corn Hole" Champion of the family of the family. Her paintings and drawing expressed the creativity she possessed. Her joy for life, and love for others will always be remembered.

The family received friends at the Haky Funeral Home, Inc., 515 N. Main St., Masontown, PA, on Friday, July 29, from 2-8 p.m.; and on Saturday, July 30, from 10- 11 a.m..

A Celebration of Life ceremony was held by her family and friends at 11 a.m., officiated by Rufus Peer, Pastor.

Interment was held in Salem View Cemetery, New Salem, PA.
