Laura Lea "Bubba" (Jones) Tomasko, 80, of Adelaide, PA passed away peacefully at home on Friday, January 19, 2024. She was born Sunday, August 29, 1943, in Connellsville, PA a daughter of the late, Paul Thomas and Pheroba (Piper) Jones.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Richard G. Tomasko; sisters, Judy Filburn and Donna Lee Jones; and her nephew, Timmy Filburn.

Laura Lea was a graduate of Dunbar Township High School and worked as a Phlebotomist for Allegheny General Hospital and Jefferson Memorial Hospital. Everyone knew her as "Bubba", she enjoyed cooking, playing card games, and enjoyed going to BINGO. Above all Bubba was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who will be sadly missed.

Left to cherish Bubba's memory are her daughters, Laura "Dee" Richter and husband, Dave, and Serena Richter; grandchildren, Garry Richter and wife, Chrystina, Kayli Kessler and husband, Nathan, and Stevi Richter; great grandchildren, Layni Kessler and Chloe Richter; brother Tim Jones and wife, June; sister, Pheroba Bee; brother-in-law, Robert Filburn; and many nieces and nephews.

Bubba's family would like to extend special thanks to the nurses and staff of Amedysis Home Care and Hospice for their compassion and excellent care.

Friends will be received in the Stephen R. Haky Funeral Home, Inc., 603 N. Gallatin Ave., Ext., Uniontown, PA on Tuesday, January 23, from 2:00 to 7:00 p.m. The funeral service will follow with Pastor Brian Swan Officiating.

Interment will be private.
