Kenneth E. "Kenny" Swallop Jr., 54, of New Salem, PA, is now resting peacefully in the "Home of the Lord" on March 10, 2017, after a long struggle with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder; Kenny made the decision that he was now ready to take the journey home. He will now join his father Kenneth E. Swallop Sr., who passed away on February 20, 2016.

Kenny was born on January 30, 1963 in Connellsville, Pa., son of the late Kenneth "Ken" Swallop and his surviving mother Mary Lou (Cronin) Swallop.

In addition to his father he was preceded in death by his grandparents Michael and Mary (Little) Cronin, Harry K. Swallop, Anna B. "O'Brien" Swallop McCabe and step grandfather Raymond McCabe.

Kenny was a graduate of Laurel Highlands High School class of 1981.

Kenny leaves behind to cherish and remember so many special moments and memories, his beloved wife of 24 years Terie Lynn, holding Kenny forever in her heart is his beautiful gifted daughter Kalynn Elizabeth, she was his "Pride and Joy" also remembering Kenny is Kalynn's boyfriend Tim Hurst, Kenny is also survived by his loving mother Mary Lou Swallop who has so many precious memories of her son. Kenny will truly be missed by the family pet, "Bublee" as well as several special aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family members and friends.

At the young age of 21, Kenny joined the United States Marine Corp. serving three years and received an honorable discharge. In 1988, Kenny began his employment with the Pennsylvania Department of Corrections and he worked there until present time.

Kenny was an avid "Harley Davidson" rider and shared a special bond with other riders. His love for motorcycles Harleys in particular was indescribable. He loved to ride. Kenny was a man with a huge heart and was always offering to help others. He will be missed by so many. He will be forever remembered for his great sense of humor, his caring soul and his love for life.

May he rest in peace.

Friends will be received in the Stephen R. Haky Funeral Home, Inc., 603 North Gallatin Ave. Ext, Uniontown, PA., on Wednesday, March 15, 2017 from 2-9 p.m. and on Thursday March 16, 2017 until 11 a.m. the Hour of Service with Pastor Ken Walls officiating.

Military rites will be accorded by The AMVETS Post 103 of Hopwood.

Private Mausoleum entombment will be held in Sylvan Heights Cemetery, Uniontown.
