Kenneth E. "Ken" Swallop, 77, of Lemont Furnace, PA, passed away on Saturday, February 20, 2016. Ken was born July 24, 1938, in Connellsville, son of the late Harry K. and Anna B. (O'Brien) Swallop McCabe.

In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by his step father, Raymond McCabe.

Ken was a graduate of Connellsville Area High School, class of 1956. He served his country proudly in the United States Army and the Army National Guard in Pennsylvania. He worked as a Coal Miner and retired from United Mine Workers, Cumberland Mine. Ken was an avid sportsman and loved cars and trucks, but above all else, he was a loving husband, father, and grandfather.

Left to cherish his memory are, his loving wife, and best friend, Mary Lou (Cronin) Swallop; his son, Kenneth E. Swallop Jr. and his wife Terie; granddaughter, Kalynn Swallop; loving dog, Missy "Honey Girl"; and his brother Harry Swallop and his wife Mary Lou; many brothers and sisters-in-law; and many nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received in the Stephen R. Haky Funeral Home, Inc., 603 North Gallatin Ave. Ext, Uniontown, PA., on Wednesday, February 24, from 2-5 p.m. the Hour of Service.

Private Mausoleum entombment will be held in Sylvan Heights Cemetery, Uniontown.
