Kathy June Ridley, 69, passed away peacefully at her home in Uniontown, PA on May 3, 2026, after a brief illness.

Kathy was born on March 21, 1957 in Beckley, WV, to Linda (Shumate) and Otis Carter.

She worked in government services for UDSA Rural Development, retiring after many years of dedicated employment.

She was a devoted wife, mother, daughter, grandmother, and friend, who cherished spending time with those that she loved.

She is survived by her husband of twenty years, Tim Ridley of Uniontown, PA; mother, Linda Shumate of Shady Spring, WV; son, George (Wendy) Meadows of Shady Spring, WV; bonus children, Matthew (Courtney) Ridley of Mechanicsburg, PA, Aaron (Sara) Ridley of Masontown, PA, and Elizabeth Ridley of Homestead, PA; granddaughters, Peyton Meadows of Shady Spring, WV, Amelia Ridley of Mechanicsburg, PA, Mattie and Gracie Ridley of Masontown, PA; sister-in-laws, Marilyn Garbart of Dunbar, PA and Lucinda Ridley of Uniontown, PA; along with numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Kathy was preceded in death by grandparents, Frank and Margaret Cook; mother-in-law, Retha Ridley; uncles, Larry Cook; brother-in-law, Robert Garbart; nephew, William Garbart; and stepfather, Sherman Shumate.

In accordance with her wishes, there will be no viewing or services.

Kathy’s kindness will live on in all who knew her, and she will be deeply missed.
