Katherine "Kay" (Shamrock) Kokesh, 92 of Masontown, PA, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 27, 2013, at Mount Macrina Manor, Uniontown. She was born on April 30, 1921, in Brier Hill, PA, daughter of the late Thomas and Sophie (Wancheck) Shamrock.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers and sisters Thomas Shamrock, Chuck Shamrock, Ann Zekowski, Mary J. Frazier, and William Shamrock.

Kay was a graduate of Georges Township High School. She was an Office Manager with Helicon and Charter Communications from which she retired after more than 26 years. Over the years she was employed at several local businesses.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughter Linda Kay Brown and husband Alan of Masontown, PA; grandchildren Kristen K. Libertini and husband Martin, Jr., of Dilliner, PA, Matthew Brown and wife Jamie of Fairchance, PA, Greg Brown and wife Jillian, Sara E. Brown, and Mark A. Brown, all of Masontown, PA; a sister, Dolores Christovich and husband Frank of Tallmadge, OH; and brothers, Fred Shamrock and wife Ruth, and Keith Shamrock and wife Patricia, all of Eustis, FL; great grandsons, Garrett Brown and Braedyn Wasko; special niece, Caryl Nypaver of Uniontown, PA; and many other nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received at the Stephen R. Haky Funeral Home, Inc., 603 N. Gallatin Ave. Ext., Uniontown, PA, on Monday, December 30, from 3-8 p.m.; and on Tuesday, December 31 from 10-11 a.m.

The Funeral Service will follow with Rev. Kevin Anderson Officiating.

Interment will be held at Mount Saint Macrina Cemetery, Uniontown, PA.
