Josephine E. Gerba, 98, of Uniontown passed away peacefully on Friday, March 29, 2019 at her home. She was born in Shoaf, Pa. on December 13, 1920, a daughter of John and Rose (Remonko) Felix.

As the last member of her immediate family, she was preceded in death by her parents; husband Charles E. Gerba in 1992; a brother, Guy Felix and wife Julia; and sisters, Lorraine Bulotta and husband Donald, Kathryn Pace and husband Bill, and Marlene Yedrezyek and husband Pete.

Josephine was a licensed beautician operating for over 50 years. She was a member of St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church and Confraternity of Christian Mothers. For over 20 years, she was a valued member of the Uniontown Hospital Volunteer Group.

Surviving are her loving children, Charlene G. Swenglish and husband Paul P. Swenglish, III.  of Uniontown, Pa.; and Charles J. "Chuck" Gerba and wife Karen of Oakmont, Pa.

Friends will be received at the Stephen R. Haky Funeral Home, Inc., 603 N. Gallatin Ave. Ext., Uniontown, Pa. on Tuesday, April 2, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m.

A private Blessing Service will be held for the family on Wednesday, April 3, at 10 a.m. in the funeral home chapel, followed by entombment at Sylvan Heights Cemetery Mausoleum.
