Joseph A. Torrusio, of Uniontown, PA, passed away at Generations Personal Care Home, Smock, PA, on Wednesday January 1, 2014. Joseph was born in Star Junction, son of Noe and Elena (Palumbo) Torrusio.

He was the last member of his immediate family, preceded in death by his parents, and the following brothers and sisters: Pat C. Trusio, George J. Trusio, Rose Rayoni, Ann Trusio (Guadiano), Jean Trusio (Caporella), Virginia Trusio (Renze), Mary Trusio, Pomposelli.

During WWII Joseph proudly served his country with the U.S. Army. He was a member of St. Therese de Lisieux Roman Catholic Church, George C. Marshall AMVETS Post 103, and American Legion Post 51.

Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife Annabelle (Piatti) Torrusio, and many nieces, nephews, sister and brother-in-laws, and their families

Friends will be received at the Stephen R. Haky Funeral Home, Inc., 603 North Gallatin Ave. Ext., Uniontown, PA, on Monday January 6, 2014 from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. A Blessing Service will be held at 2 p.m. with Monsignor Michael W. Matusak. Military honors will follow at the funeral home, accorded by AMVETS Post 103.

Entombment will be private at Sylvan Heights Cemetery, Uniontown, PA.

The family prefers that memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society in Joseph's memory.
