Joseph Christian Strickler, age 40, of Hagerstown, MD, formerly of Uniontown, PA, died on Saturday, February 5, 2011 in Merritus Medical Center, Hagertown, MD. He was born on September 29, 1970 in Prince Georges County, MD.



Joe was a graduate of Uniontown Area High School class of 1989, and earned an Applied Associates Degree in Architectural Drafting and Design at Westmoreland County Community College.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife Shari (Albani) Strickler, who was the love of his life for the past 20 years; his parents, Patricia and Dan Sawyers; dear brothers and sisters, Michael Strickler, Russell Strickler and wife Sherry, Christine Jerome and husband Douglas, and Trisha Shea and husband Ken; his mother-in-law, Frances Albani; brothers-in-law, James Albani and wife Tammy, and Paul Albani; sister-in-law, Teresa Albani Lessa; nephews, Aaron Jerome, Garrett Frost, Stephen Strickler, Ryan Strickler; Collin Strickler, Griffin Strickler, Anthony Lessa, and Dominic Lessa; and nieces, Ashley Jerome, Miranda Frost, and Ashley Albani. He also leaves behind his faithful Bulldog, "Cleopatra".

Joe was preceded in death by his step-father Joseph Allen Puckett; grandparents, Michael and Christina Urick, and Joseph and Marie Puckett, and also his father-in-law, Joseph Albani.

Friends will be received in the Stephen R. Haky Funeral Home, Inc., 603 N. Gallatin Ave., Ext., Uniontown, PA, on Thursday, February 10, from 3-8 p.m.; and on Friday, February, 11, 2011, until 11 a.m., when a Blessing Service will be held in the funeral home chapel, with Rev. Father Michael J. Crookston Officiating.
