Joseph F. Medved, 92 of Lemont Furnace passed on Sunday May 5, 2019. Born March 1, 1927 in Republic, son of the late Thomas and Barbara Medved. Beloved husband of 53 years to Mary (Stiner) Medved; Survived by his brother George Medved Sr. of MI and his children George Medved Jr., Denise (Louis) Medved Pirronello, Mark Medved and Joseph (Caryn) Medved; Thomas (Helen) Medved and his son Daniel Medved; his brother-in-law George (Helen) Stiner Sr. and his children Monica (Richard) Stiner Weisberg, George Stiner Jr. and Gregory (Angela) Stiner; also many other nieces and nephews, great nieces and great nephews still survive. He was preceded in death by his other siblings Frank, Steve and John Medved, Helen Medved Kapel and Catherine Medved Rozak. Joe was a veteran of Word War II, a bridge and track lineman for the railroad and a member of St. Mary's (Nativity) Church in Uniontown. Viewing Tuesday 2-4 & 6-8 PM at Stephen R. Haky Funeral Home 603 N. Gallatin Ave. Ext. Uniontown where prayers of Transfer will be said Wednesday at 9:15 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM at St. Mary's (Nativity) Church in Uniontown. Interment to follow at Sylvan Heights Cemetery. Tributes welcome at www.hakyfuneralhome.com . The Lazarus Ministry will conduct the wake service at 3:00 PM Tuesday in the funeral home.
