Joseph J. Jurczak, 79, of Lemont Furnace, PA, passed away on Friday, April 27, 2018, at Veterans Hospital, Pittsburgh. Joe was born on April 15, 1939, a son of the late John Jurczak and Helen Jurczak Patella.

In addition to his parents, Joe was preceded in death by his first wife, Donna Jurczak; his brother, Stanley Jurczak; his sister, Joanne Mayzak; and his nephew, John Jurczak.

Joe proudly served his country in the United States Army, from 1962 to 1964. Joe was a fun, loving man. He was always laughing and joking and he had an infectious smile. He enjoyed watching football, going out to dinner with his family, picnicking in Deep Creek and playing scratch off tickets, planning his trip to Florida if he won.  He was a life-long member of the Amvets Post 103, the Slovak Club, and the Hutchinson Sportsman's Club. Joe was a great person who will be truly missed by all who knew him.

Left to cherish his memory, are his wife, Marion Y. Jurczak; his children, Alfred Jurczak and his wife Rachel, and Danna Jurczak; his grandchildren, Devin, Allison, and Joseph Jurczak; step-children, Myra Swaney, Michele Chipps, Jerry Kessler, BK Kessler, Daniel Kessler and Jason Scarlett; many step-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Ann Jurczak of Sarasota, FL; and numerous nieces, nephews, and their families.

Friends will be received in the Stephen R. Haky Funeral Home Inc., 603 N. Gallatin Ave., Ext., Uniontown, PA, on Monday, April 30, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. and Tuesday, May 1, until 10 a.m. the Hour of Service with Pastor Roger Yeager Officiating. Military Honors will be accorded.

Interment will be privately held in Good Shepherd Cemetery, Monroeville, PA.
