John R. Trainor, 86 of Uniontown, Pa., passed away suddenly on Friday, April 12, 2019 at the Uniontown Hospital. He was born in Uniontown on May 28, 1932, son of the late John and Susan (Fetsco) Trainor,

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.

John was a steelworker retired from US Steel Corp Homestead Works. He proudly served his country with the United States Marine Corp during the Korean War.

Surviving is his loving wife of 65 years, Agnes Ruth (Pleveich) Trainor; their children, Richard "Rick" A. Trainor and wife Debra of Diamond Bar, CA, and Cynthia Koehn of Vero Beach, FL; grandchildren, Ryan, Leah, Calie, and Justin; special niece, Carol Van Sickle of Uniontown, Pa., and many other nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received at the Stephen R. Haky Funeral Home, Inc., 603 N. Gallatin Ave. Ext., Uniontown, Pa. on Monday, April 15, from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m., and on Tuesday, April 16 from 12 p.m. until 1 p.m., the Hour of Service in the funeral home chapel with  Pastor Lee Maley officiating. Military honors will be accorded by George C. Marshall AMVETS Post 103.

Private interment will be held at Sylvan HeightsCemetery, Uniontown, Pa.
