John Thomas Stefan, 65, of Uniontown, passed away peacefully on, Tuesday, October 3, 2017, Surrounded by his loving family.
He was born in Uniontown, PA, on June 23, 1952, son of the late Mary Kathryn (Garybush) and Franklin Lewis and John Stefan.
John was preceded in death by his siblings, Roy (Gloria) Stefan, Lois Jean Dillinger, Goldie (Robert) Schiffbauer, Louis Stefan, Joyce (Vince) Palya, Lydia Jane (William) Matthews.
He was also preceded in death by three grandsons, Anthony Nicklow III, Jimmy Imler, and Brandon Nicklow.
John is survived by his loving wife, Sue Stefan; and his children, Toni (John) Ritchey, Tammy (Bill) Keffer, Anthony Nicklow Jr., and Robert Nicklow. He was also the proud Pap of, John, Jacob, Joseph, Jacqueline, and Joya Ritchey, Cecelia Mills, Khristi Nicklow, and Robert Jr., Britany, and Isabel Nicklow; great grandchildren, Victoria and Lucille Ritchey and Troy Engle Jr. His grandchildren were the loves of his life.
John was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers, Pirates, and Penguins Fan. He enjoyed watching all sports.
Pap was a family man and did whatever he could to help those who needed it.
Friends will be received in the Stephen R. Haky Funeral Home Inc., 603 N. Gallatin Ave., Ext., Uniontown, PA, on Friday, October 6, from 6-8 p.m., Saturday, October 7, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m, and Sunday, October 8, from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m., the Hour of Service, with Pastor Elmer "Buzz" Hall officiating.
Private Interment will be held in Sylvan Heights Cemetery, Uniontown, Pa.
