John W. Pedro Sr., age 83, of Uniontown, PA, passed away on Monday January 23, 2017 at his home.

He was born on July 16, 1933 in Searights.

He was the son of the late Cezar and Mary (Bologna) Pedro.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by the following brothers and sisters: Pete Pedro, Emma Fantero, Alveda Craft, Josephine Gonzales, Larry Petrucci, Joe Petrucci, Leo Pedro, Herman Pedro and two in infancy.

John was a member of St. Therese de Lisieux Roman Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus #1275 and a prominent businessman for over 50 years, He was the owner of Pedro Tile & Carpeting.

He served his country in the United Sates Army stationed in Alaska during the Korean War.

John is survived by his loving wife and best friend of 53 years Regina (Angelo) Pedro, children, Lana Means and husband Bill, John Pedro Jr., and wife Tammy, Jennifer Wingrove and husband Butch, grandchildren, Billy Means and wife Elise, Tyler Means and fianc Annie, Kara Means, Alexis Pedro, Nicole Pedro, Jenna Wingrove, great granddaughter Larkyn Means, he is also survived by his sister Amelia (Emily) Gudac and husband Joe, and many loving nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received in the Stephen R. Haky Funeral Home, Inc., 603 N. Gallatin Ave., Ext., Uniontown, PA on Thursday January 26, 2017 from 2-4 p.m. & 6-9 p.m. and on Friday January 27, 2017 until 9:15 a.m. when prayers of transfer will be said.

A Funeral Mass will follow at St. Therese de Lisieux Roman Catholic Church in Uniontown, at 10 a.m.

Interment will follow in Mt. Macrina Cemetery, Uniontown, PA

The Parish Wake Service will be Thursday January 26, 2017 at 3:00 p.m.
