John W. Fike "Nip" 87, of Uniontown, Pa., passed away peacefully at his home on Thursday November 28, 2013
He was born on May 30, 1926 in Uniontown, Pa., son of William and Madeline (Jacobs) Fike.
John was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Mildred (Lazaran) Fike, his sister ; Ruth E. Fike, Deloris J. Fike and Jacqueline Fike Haines and brothers; James Fike, Donald Fike and Robert Fike.
Left to cherish his memory is his nephews; Robert, Eric, Kenneth and nieces Linda and Christina and their families, he is also survived by his sister-in-law Helen Fike.
John served his Country with The United States Navy. He was a retired sheet and metal worker from Local #12 and belonged to the Masonic Lodge in Uniontown, Pa.
Friends will be received in the Stephen R. Haky Funeral Homes, Inc., 603 North Gallatin Ave. Ext., Uniontown, PA, on Sunday December 1, 2013, from 1-4 p.m.; and on Monday December 2, 2013 until 10 a.m. when a blessing service will be held with Msgr. Michael W. Matusak officiating.
Entombment will be held at Sylvan Heights Cemetery, Uniontown, PA., where military honors will be accorded by the AMVETS Post 103 of Hopwood, Pa.
