Obituary

John F. Lemansky, 87, of Uniontown, PA, died on Tuesday, June 12, 2012 at the Golden Living Nursing Center, Uniontown, PA.

He was born on March 26, 1925 in Carmichaels, PA, son of the late Michael J. and Cecelia (Cwiklinski) Lemansky. In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by his wife Mary Ellen (Lepai) Lemansky; a sister, Helen Miscovich; and brothers, Francis, Clarence "Cork", and Mike Lemansky.

John was a member of St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, Uniontown, PA. He served in the Merchant Marines during WWII, and the United States Navy during the Korean War.

He is survived by his children, son, John W. Lemansky and his wife Catherine of Franklin, MA; and daughter, Mary Ann El-Ayazra of Uniontown, PA; five grandchildren, three great grandchildren, sisters, Agnes Shinsky of Uniontown, PA, and Regina Houk of Bethel Park, PA; and brothers, Anthony "Tony" Lemansky, and Tom Lemansky, both of Uniontown, PA; and many nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received at the Stephen R. Haky Funeral Home, Inc., 603 N. Gallatin Ave., Ext., Uniontown, PA, on Saturday, June 16, from 7-9 p.m., Sunday, June 17, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., and on Monday, June 18, until 9:15 a.m. when prayers of transfer will be said.

A Funeral Mass will follow on Monday at 10 a.m. in St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, 180 Old Walnut Hill Rd, with Rev. Father Ronald L. Simboli as Celebrant.

Interment will be held at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Bridgeville, PA, where military honors will be accorded.
