John Leonard Holup, age 67, of Uniontown, Pa., passed away on Friday June 12, 2015

He was born on February 9, 1948, a son of Steve and Jessica (Perilli) Holup.

John was a member of St. Mary (Nativity) Roman Catholic Church; he was employed by U.S. Steel as a coalminer and later worked as a deck hand on the river boats. He was most recently employed at the Crown America Uniontown Mall as part of their security detail.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister Margaret Boyer.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Marjorie V. (Over) Holup; a son Patrick Holup; he is also survived by his brother Stephen Holup.

Friends will be received in the Stephen R. Haky Funeral Home, Inc. 603 North Gallatin Ave. Ext., Uniontown, Pa., on Sunday, June 14, 2015 from 7-9 p.m. and on Monday, June 15, 2015 until 1 p.m. when a blessing service will be held with Rev Fr. Peter L. Peretti Officiating.

Entombment will follow in Sylvan Heights Cemetery.
