John Dobish Jr., age 82, of Lemont Furnace passed away on Saturday July 12, 2014 at home, surrounded by his loving family. John was born in Revere PA son of the late John Dobish Sr. and Ann E. (Horvat) Dobish.
In addition to his parents John was preceded in death by his in-laws Harry Chase and Helen Chase; sisters, Ann Shipley and Dorothy Pashko; and grandson, Jacob McWilliams.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Jessie L. (Chase) Dobish of Lemont Furnace; children, Theodore "Ted" Dobish and Toni Jones of Lemont Furnace, James "Jake" Dobish and wife Brenda of Lemont Furnace, Rita Dobish McWilliams and Kevin of Lemont Furnace, and Clay Dobish Sr. of Lemont Furnace; grandchildren, Clay Jr., Desirae and husband Zach, Brandi, Holly, Jeremy, Tim, Donovan, Tommy and wife Jen, Albert, Heather and husband Scott, Christopher, Matthew and fianc Amanda, and Brittany; great-grandchildren, Andrew, Mason, Matthew Jr., Christopher; sisters, Patty Brooks and husband Doug of Georgia, Francis Frey of West Virginia; sister in-law, Peggy Falkner of Arkansas; and many nieces and nephews.
John served in the United States Navy during the Korean War aboard the USS Missouri. He was also a member of the American Legion Post 51 in Uniontown PA, and was a life time member of the North Union VFW Uniontown PA.
Friends will be received at the Stephen R. Haky Funeral Home, Inc., 603 N. Gallatin Ave., Ext., Uniontown, PA, on Monday July 14, from 7-9 pm and Tuesday July 15, from 2-4 and 7-9 pm.
The Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday July 16, 2014 at 11 am, in the Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor French Jenkins as celebrant.
Interment will follow at Sylvan Heights Cemetery, Uniontown, PA.
