Joan Shushok, 96 of Uniontown passed away on Saturday July 11, 2026. Born March 9, 1930, in Uniontown, daughter of the late Frank J. and Mary (Shovak) Shushok. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers Francis, William and Robert. She is survived by her sister Rita (Ronald Sr.) Dils, her nephews Ronald Dils Jr. and Billy Shushok and a niece Michelle (Jerry) Girod. Also great nephews; Colton Dils and his daughter Everly, Payton Girod and Ryan Girod and great niece Jordan Dils. She was a secretary for John Malloy Distributing, a member of St. Mary (Nativity) Church of Uniontown. She loved animals and watching sports, the Penguins, Pirates and Steelers. She was a caring person who helped others. Family invites people to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday July 17th at St. Mary (Nativity) Church, 61 N. Mt. Vernon Ave. Uniontown at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow in St. Mary (Nativity) Cemetery, Uniontown. In lieu of flowers, family suggests donations to Fayette Friends of Animals in her memory.
